1. Overview

UNBET is a self-guided behavioral support application.

We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the core features of the App.

Most user data is stored locally on the user's device by default.

Optional cloud backup is available if a user chooses to enable it.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use personal data for advertising or profiling.

2. Local vs Cloud Storage

Local Storage (Default)

Most UNBET data is stored locally on your device by default.

This may include:

  • Notes and journal entries
  • Self-reported responses (such as urge level check-ins)
  • Pause usage activity
  • Financial awareness inputs (income, debt, expenses if entered)
  • AI chat conversations

If you use UNBET without enabling cloud backup, this data remains only on your device.

If you delete the App, locally stored data may be permanently lost.

Optional Cloud Backup

UNBET provides an optional cloud backup feature.

If you create an account and choose to backup, your data can be securely backed up to the cloud so that it can be restored when signing in on a new device.

Data included in optional backup include:

  • Notes and journal entries
  • Progress and pattern data
  • Financial awareness inputs

Backup data is encrypted before transmission and transferred using secure connections.

Users may also delete their cloud backup data.

Cloud infrastructure is provided through Supabase, our backend infrastructure provider.

3. Data Stored in the Cloud

If you create an account, the following data may be stored securely:

  • Account settings (profile, reminders & notification preferences, partner settings)
  • Community posts and comments
  • Optional cloud backups.

This data is used solely to provide App functionality. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or resale.

4. AI Chat Data

AI chat conversations are stored locally on your device.

They are not included in cloud backups and are not stored on our servers.

You may clear AI chat history at any time within the App.

5. Community Data

If you participate in Community features:

  • Posts and comments are stored in our secure cloud database.
  • You may delete your own posts within the App.
  • Deleting your account permanently removes associated community content.

We may remove content that violates Community Guidelines.

6. Subscription Information

Subscription payments are processed by:

  • Google Play Store or
  • Apple App Store

We do not collect or store payment details.

We may receive subscription status confirmation from the platform in order to enable subscription features.

7. Data Security

We use secure authentication and encrypted connections (HTTPS).

Cloud data is stored using Supabase and its infrastructure providers.

We implement reasonable safeguards designed to protect user data.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account directly within the App.

When an account is deleted:

  • Cloud-stored data is permanently removed
  • Community posts are deleted
  • Associated account data is erased

Local device data (such as AI chat history or locally stored notes) remains on your device unless manually cleared.

9. Children's Privacy

UNBET is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access your data
  • Correct inaccuracies
  • Request deletion
  • Withdraw consent

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.

Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
